Sparkling Ginger Soda

Sparkling Ginger Soda

La Diosa Fizz

A bubbly, zesty tonic to awaken your senses + support digestion.

This homemade ginger soda is sweet, spicy, and full of Ayurvedic brilliance. With fresh ginger, citrus, and a splash of sparkle, it lifts your mood, stimulates your agni (digestive fire), and leaves you feeling energized—but not jittery.

Serve it in a glass that makes you feel divine, with herbs, flowers, and fruit like the goddess you are.

Ayurvedic Energy Notes

  • Ginger is the queen of agni—warming, stimulating, and great for clearing Kapha stagnation or Vata chills.

  • Citrus like lime or lemon brightens the liver, supports digestion, and boosts mental clarity.

  • Raw honey or jaggery syrup provides sweetness with pranic nourishment (used only once the drink cools).

  • Sparkling water adds movement, joy, and a playful vibe—especially refreshing in warmer weather.

Ingredients (1–2 servings)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated or sliced

  • ¾ cup filtered water

  • Juice of ½ lime or lemon

  • 1–2 tsp raw honey, maple syrup, or jaggery syrup (adjust to taste)

  • ½–¾ cup sparkling mineral water (like Topo Chico or Pellegrino)

  • Pinch of sea salt or black salt (optional but grounding)

  • Ice, mint, or edible flowers to serve

Instructions

  1. Make the ginger infusion:
In a small saucepan, simmer ginger with ¾ cup water for 5–10 minutes, until fragrant and golden. Strain and let cool slightly.

  2. Sweeten + brighten:
Once the infusion is warm (not hot), stir in the honey/syrup, lime juice, and a tiny pinch of salt. Taste and adjust.

  3. Pour + sparkle:
Fill a glass with ice and pour the ginger base over it. Top with sparkling water and stir gently.

  4. Garnish + glow:
Add fresh mint, basil, citrus slices, or edible flowers. Sip slowly, and let the bubbles lift your spirit.

Dosha Tips

  • Vata: Serve warm or room temp, and use still water if sparkling feels too airy. Add a dash of cinnamon.

  • Pitta: Use lime over lemon, skip black salt, and garnish with cooling mint or cucumber.

  • Kapha: Add extra ginger, black pepper, or cayenne for heat. Go light on sweetener.

Sacred Sips Ritual

“I drink to awaken joy. I sip to stoke my light. I sparkle from within.”

Play soft music. Put on earrings. Let this soda be a celebration, even if you’re just barefoot in the kitchen.
