Avocado Toast with Sprouts & Radishes

A grounded, glowing start to your day—full of freshness, texture, and flow.

This isn’t just avocado toast. It’s an energy reset. Creamy avocado soothes the nervous system and nourishes your tissues, while radishes and sprouts bring sparkle, detoxification, and digestive fire. Layered on golden toast with a drizzle of oil or squeeze of lime… this is life-giving nourishment.

Ayurvedic Energy Notes

  • Avocado is unctuous, heavy, and deeply nourishing—perfect for Vata and even Pitta when balanced with cooling herbs.

  • Radishes are sharp, spicy, and light—stimulate digestion, awaken agni, and gently detox Kapha.

  • Sprouts (like alfalfa, broccoli, or mung bean) are full of prana—great for spring and early summer, bringing renewal and clarity.

  • Sourdough, seeded, or sprouted grain toast balances grounding with fiber and energy.

Avocado Toast with Sprouts & Radishes

Ingredients (1–2 servings)

  • 1 ripe avocado

  • Juice of ½ lime or lemon

  • Sea salt + black pepper

  • ½ cup fresh sprouts (alfalfa, radish, mung bean, broccoli, etc.)

  • 2–3 red radishes, thinly sliced

  • 2 slices sourdough or sprouted grain bread

  • Drizzle of olive oil or cold-pressed sesame oil

  • Optional: pinch of chili flakes, cumin, or microgreens for topping

Instructions

  1. Toast your bread:
Golden and crisp, but still chewy inside. A perfect platform for your nourishment.

  2. Mash the avocado:
Scoop avocado into a bowl. Add lime juice, salt, pepper, and optional cumin or chili. Mash to your desired texture.

  3. Assemble with love:
Spread avocado onto each toast slice. Top with radish rounds and fresh sprouts. Drizzle with a little oil and add any extra flair (microgreens, herbs, or edible petals).

  4. Serve mindfully:
Eat seated, slowly, and with gratitude for this sacred, simple gift of the earth.

Dosha Adaptations

  • Vata: Add olive oil or ghee to toast, serve warm, and go heavy on avocado.

  • Pitta: Skip the chili, use lime, and add mint or cilantro to cool.

  • Kapha: Choose a sprouted grain or rye bread, add chili flakes, and go easy on the avocado.

Bliss Ritual Add-On

Enjoy this toast with a warm digestive tea (cumin-fennel-ginger or tulsi-lavender) and journal one intention for your day.
