Welcoming Taurus Season -Reflection on Grounding, Beauty, and Building What Lasts

Y’all know by now that I pay attention to seasons—not just the weather outside, but the seasons happening in our bodies, our businesses, our homes, and our hearts. Taurus season always feels like that deep exhale after the push of Aries. It is the moment where life asks us to stop sprinting and start asking better questions.

Can this actually last?
Does this support my peace?
Is this building something meaningful, or am I just staying busy because chaos feels familiar?

Taurus season begins on April 19 and moves through May 20, and every year I feel this shift in a very real way. The energy slows down, but not in a lazy way. It becomes intentional. Taurus is not interested in rushing. Taurus wants quality. Taurus wants stability. Taurus wants beauty that holds.

Honestly, it reminds me a little of cooking a good meal from scratch. You cannot rush flavor. You cannot fake nourishment. You have to take your time, trust the process, and know what ingredients actually matter. Same thing with life.

This is the season where we move from proving to building. From pressure to sustainability. From asking how fast we can get somewhere to asking whether the life we are creating is something we even want to live inside of.

That right there is Taurus wisdom.

Taurus Season Through the Lens of Ayurveda

In Ayurveda, Taurus season overlaps with the end of Kapha season and the early warming of Pitta season, which creates a really important bridge for us. Kapha wants grounding, steadiness, and structure. Pitta starts bringing the fire of action, clarity, and movement.

One says, “Root first.”

The other says, “Then rise.”

That balance matters.

This time of year often brings that feeling of wanting to clean out closets, reorganize your kitchen, reset your schedule, review your money, and finally stop pretending that your nervous system is fine surviving on caffeine and vibes alone.

Spring can also bring heaviness—sluggish digestion, low motivation, emotional fog, congestion, and that strange desire to take a nap immediately after doing absolutely nothing. Classic Kapha behavior. Respectfully.

Grounding helps regulate that. It calms Vata anxiety, supports digestion, improves focus, and helps us come back to our body instead of living entirely in our overthinking.

Luxury is not excess.

Luxury is having enough capacity to actually enjoy your life.

That is the kind of rich I’m interested in.

Venus: The Ruler of Taurus

Taurus is ruled by Venus, and Venus gets misunderstood all the time because people reduce her to romance and pretty things.

Yes, beauty matters. Yes, pleasure matters. Yes, I support a good candle and a beautiful table setting.

But Venus is also about values, self-worth, money, standards, and what we choose to devote ourselves to.

She asks questions like:

What actually feels valuable to you?
What do you protect?
What are you tolerating that no longer matches your standards?
What deserves your energy?
Where are you settling because familiar feels safer than growth?

That is Venus work.

This is not just about love. This is about leadership.

It is about creating a life that reflects what you say matters.

And yes, your nervous system absolutely notices the state of your home, your calendar, and that junk drawer you keep pretending is not there. The drawer knows. The drawer always knows.

Venus Colors

Venus carries colors that feel soft, grounded, and beautiful without trying too hard. Think olive greens, warm cream, ivory, terracotta, copper, muted reds, and those rich earthy tones that feel elegant instead of flashy.

Basically, not bubblegum princess energy.

More legacy. More grown woman peace. More “I know exactly who I am and I paid cash for this candle.”

That is the mood.

For our Royal Bliss Circle™ world, these tones make sense because they feel rooted. They support the nervous system instead of overstimulating it, and they remind us that beauty can be calm, not chaotic.

Venus Stones + Crystals

Some of the stones traditionally connected to Venus include:

  • Emerald for abundance, devotion, and prosperity

  • Jade for harmony, grounded wealth, and protection

  • Rose Quartz for softness, compassion, and heart healing

  • Green Aventurine for confidence, opportunity, and growth

  • Copper as Venus’ traditional metal

Now listen, a crystal is not going to fix poor boundaries or make you stop texting people you know good and well you should leave alone.

But it can be a beautiful reminder of the work.

And I believe in supportive décor.

Venus Places to Visit

Venus loves places that make you slow down enough to receive.

Botanical gardens. Art museums. Flower markets. Beautiful cafés. A bookstore with real character. A vineyard. A quiet nature preserve. A restaurant where the food feels like an experience and not a side quest.

Honestly, sometimes Venus is just your own backyard with a proper chair, your dog nearby, and a cup of tea that deserves respect.

Places where beauty helps your body remember safety.

Places where you are not performing productivity.

Places where you can hear yourself again.

That is sacred.

Taurus Season Rituals for Us

This season, I want y’all coming back to the basics—the practices that may look simple on paper but completely change how you feel, how you lead, and how you move through your life.

Taurus season is not asking for dramatic reinvention. It is asking for consistency. It is asking for devotion. It is asking whether your daily life actually supports your peace.

These are the rituals I want you leaning into:

  • Self-abhyanga with warm oil before your shower
A simple nervous system reset that helps you feel grounded, supported, and back in your body.

  • Morning sunlight before your phone
Let your body meet God and the sun before it meets emails and nonsense.

  • Cook meals that nourish instead of punish
Warm, intentional meals that support digestion, energy, and stability—not survival snacks and emotional tortilla chips.

  • Journal before consuming everyone else’s opinions
Start with your own voice before the world starts shouting.

  • Review your finances without avoidance
Peace and prosperity require honesty. Open the account. Look at the numbers. Breathe. We are grown.

  • Tend your home environment
Clean the kitchen. Open the windows. Fix the corner that annoys you every single day. Your environment speaks.

  • Plant something
Herbs, flowers, tomatoes, basil, your patience—something.

  • Protect your calendar like it is sacred
Because it is. Stop handing your peace to people who treat your time like a group project.

  • Take the walk
Fresh air, movement, sunshine, perspective. Sometimes your breakthrough is just outside.

  • Say no with grace
Without guilt. Without overexplaining. Without writing a dissertation. A simple no is a complete sentence.

  • Create beauty on purpose
Fresh flowers, your favorite mug, lipstick on a Tuesday, music while cooking dinner. Beauty is medicine.

  • Ask yourself daily:
Does this support the woman I am becoming?

Because the next level is rarely built through more.

It is built through what you choose to sustain.

That is Taurus season.
That is Venus wisdom.
And honestly, that is how we build a beautiful life—one grounded decision at a time.
