The Light Table

Kapha is the holder — earth and water, steadiness and devotion. And because Kapha holds so well, she sometimes holds a little too much. This week is an invitation to lighten: food that is light, warm, and spiced with intention. Nothing extreme, nothing punishing. Just the opposite of heaviness, served with love.

The principle is simple. Kapha is heavy, cool, slow, and moist — so her table wants the opposite: light, warm, quick, and dry. Breakfast stays light, because Kapha's fire wakes up slowly. Lunch is the main meal, eaten at midday when agni burns brightest. Dinner comes early and lighter still.

Each dish below links to its recipe. Dishes marked coming soon are on their way — the table is growing.

Day Seven — Integrate

Morning: Your favorite warm tea from the week. Move your body. Notice how different this morning feels from Day One.

Breakfast: Stewed apple with cloves and cinnamon — bookending the week where you began.

Lunch: The meal you loved most this week — make it again, on purpose.

Dinner: Simple steamed vegetables with lemon and black pepper. Early, light, grateful.

If a day goes sideways, begin again at the next meal — not Monday, not next month. Kapha's greatest strength is steadiness, and steadiness includes returning.
